In class, everyone has been reading different books. I read Just Desserts, by Mercy O’Meara, here is my retell.

We did a post test on multiplication and I got them all right.

Since Charlie Bucket won a lifetime supply of Wonka candy, he has became the happiest boy in the world, the most popular boy at school and he now has Willy Wonka as a friend. One cold Winter day Charlie went out to see Mr Wonka. “Hello Mr Wonka. Any new creations?” Asked young Charlie “Yes Charlie, but foul Arthur Slugworth’s spies stole my chocolate, my recipes and kidnapped my Oompa Loompas” Mr Wonka said angrily. “It’s okay Mr Wonka, I will help you find everything” Charlie said. They went to Mr Slugworth’s house, they found everything under a secret hatch.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP! I rolled over and hit the snooze button. My French bulldog Quinton came in and licked me. “Good morning Quinton” I said, patting him. I looked at the clock, oh no, I’M LATE! I ran downstairs, grabbed my school bag and ran to school. In the rain.  ” Miss Kiter, why are you wearing your pajamas, oh and why are you late?” Mr Skyte said, confused. I thought , well what a start. “Well Mr Skyte, it’s a long story” I mumbled. Mr Skyte ended up calling my mum, she was furious. She brought my school uniform. The End.

The Harry Potter series is a well written book series by J.K Rowling.
Harry Potter is an orphan brought up by his aunt and uncle who do not like him at all. Together with his cousin Dudley they wish that he didn’t exist at all and make him live in the cupboard under the stairs. Harry though, is special. He finds out that he is a wizard and that he is to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn magic. Only when he arrives at Hogwarts does he realise how special he actually is.

This series is a mix between fantasy,mystery and fiction.

I would this book 9/10.
